we have seen many strange problems as the result of upgrading (sic) to win98 from win95. if the problem seems random, its more likely an OS related prolem rather than a conflict witha specific app. as a rule, we now suggest that people don't upgrade. uninstalling win98 will only make things worse. the best bet would be reinstalling win98 from a full version (not upgrade). if all else seems to fail, format the drive and start with win98.
