When you're working on PowerPoint slide shows, you
might find it handy to start those shows from your desktop. Run Windows Explorer and
locate your slide show data file. Use the right-mouse button to drag the file's icon to
the desktop. Release the mouse button and, when the menu opens, choose Create Shortcut(s)
Here. To run the slide show, right-click your new shortcut, and choose Show. PowerPoint
will open, display your show, and then close.
