bulletNOVELL 3.12 YEAR 2000 FIX

If you're running NetWare 3.12, you need to apply a patch to ensure Year 2000 compliance. As you may know, some hardware and software is not designed to handle the change to the date 2000; lack of Year 2000 compliance can cause many problems. If you use NetWare 3.12, you can avoid future problems by applying the file updates found in 312y2kp2.exe. You can find this update on the Novell Web site at http://support.novell.com. This self-extracting file contains updates to the following files and corrects the problems listed:

listdir.exe:  The date does not display correctly with the /D and /T options.
loader.exe: The file server could abend (stop) at the year 2000 rollover to 1/1/2000. The BIOS clock would also be reset to the year 1980.
mnu.ovl: The date does not display correctly after the year 2000.
paudit.exe and net_rec.dat: The year does not display correctly for years greater than 1999.
pserver.exe: The banner page prints the year as 19200 instead of 2000.
pserver.nlm: The banner page prints the year as 19200 instead of 2000.
rconsole.exe: When selecting the directory scan option, the year as indicated by the file creation date displays as 100 instead of 00, 134 instead of 34, and so on.
sbackup.nlm: When the system time is set to the year 2000 or later, the year does not display correctly in the session files; it adds 28 years to the last two digits of the year (for example, 2007 becomes 2035).
session.exe: The log-in time displays incorrectly for the year 2028 and beyond.
