Good String Rule of Thumb
When running a long wire, try tying a piece of string to it.  When you are finished with your run, tie the string down at then end.  The next time you have to make another run to the same location, untie your string and pull your line from the end.  This works very well with long hard to reach runs. (Make sure you use a heavy duty string!)
